A Sad Loss 10/06/2005 Laural James
It was with great sadness that RUGFC learnt Laural James passed away on 29th May 2005 following a period of illness. Laural who was the longest serving Committee member had been a loyal friend to RUGFC and had supported the Club as Treasurer from when the Club started in 1995.
Over the years Laural had earned the respect and confidence of all Committee members and Managers with her strict policy on Club finances and ensured that it was always financially stable. Her presence at Committee meetings will be sorely missed as will her down to earth, no nonsense approach to addressing important issues and her knowledge of junior football.
RUGFC wishes her family all our sympathies and best wishes for the future with our assurance that Laurals contribution to the success of RUGFC will not be forgotten
