Redditch United Girls launch Open Age team. 17/04/2006
After year on year growth and having reached its 10th Birthday in December, RUGFC has decided to now expand into Open Age football and can now really boast football for all females in Redditch for all ages from 6 years upwards.
Having been the catalyst to the creation of and supplying players to many women teams in the area RUGFC will field its own team playing in the Birmingham County League from September.
Training has already commenced with girls from the Club who will moving to Open Age and welcoming back some ex-players over the last 10 years. If you are interested in being part of this new and exciting venture at RUGFC come along on Sunday mornings currently at South Redditch Playing fields (Greenlands) between 11.00-13.00 and join the squad. End of season friendly games are being arranged so before attending it’s recommended you contact through the email link at the web site.
