The excitement on their faces was a picture on Saturday for Redditch United U10 team gaining the Club kit for the first ever time. The feeling amongst the Girls during Friday night training, even though the rain was pouring down, was come what may they would play on Saturday  and raise money for Children In Need.

They braved the weather to turn out and raise money at mid-day on Saturday. A true testament to the up and coming team in Girls football. Watch this space, there are players in this team that may become a house hold name in Women’s football as the talent is a already showing with skill, pace and vision even at this early age.

The score of 5 – 4 was an exciting two way battle with the Bibs taking control early on but the Red fought back valiantly to a well earned score line. The U10 team whilst not registered in a league currently are looking for local matches with similar clubs who have teams in Mini soccer without fixtures.

This was the U10's first game as such and due to the weather was shortened to 12 Mins. ea. way.

The U10's squad is around 15 / 16 strong but only 9 were able to make it on the day. Tia, May, Jade, Beth, Seren, Carla, Chloe, Abi Elvin and Abi McFaden.

Chloe bravely said she would go into goal for a spell after which both sides opted for some STAND in keeping from a couple of girls from another age group. All 9 girls played an excellent game, scoring 8 goals for Children in need.
