This week’s match saw the visit of Pershore. With the Jets fielding a
full squad and some subs feeling was good for a win.
The jets started the match in high spirits and settled down the better
of the two teams on the sticky Greenlands pitch. Wave after wave of
attacks but Pershore defence held firm with keeper playing a blinder.
This would be the story of the first half with nothing to show for it.
Pershore having limited luck in getting pass the Jets defence but on
their second attack managed to put the ball in the back of the jets net.
Through ball from midfield split the jets defence, keeper save the first
strike but was unlucky with the second half time 0-1 to Pershore.
Second half began where the first ended with the jets attacking the
most. Shots here peppering the Pershore goal but just not going in, with
the jets pushing hard for the equaliser Pershore scored their second
same as their first , through ball to their attacker but this time put
it passed the Jets keeper 0-2 to Pershore .
The Jets never gave up and hard work and determination got the goal they
deserved this time the through ball as just right, with Tyler taking the
ball around the keeper and in to the net. This left the final 5 minutes
were frantic with the Jets pressing to the end. Well played to both
teams with some very attractive football. Final score 1-2 to Pershore.
The jets deserved to win if not to draw but that’s football. If you
don’t convert your chances you lose.
