Today the sun was shining again and this
was the first time these teams have met. Without any knowledge of the
opposition the Jets set off with some great attacking football. Fielding
a full squad and two subs today the jets afforded some regular
substitutions allows all the girls match time.
Both teams during the firs half were very
evenly match with moments of heart stopping play on both side when
either side could have taken the lead.
Half time 0 - 0
Second half with the Jets refreshed and a
few substitution right after the break the Jets did start to gather
momentum in the match and probably had the majority of player in
Perdiswell half. Shot after shot was raining in from the Jets but
falling short of hitting the target. Side netting on numerous occasions
and several just clearing the cross bar before the shot we were all
waiting for. Charlotte had her football feet on today and a rare moment
of brilliance saw a 25 - 30 strike, hit to perfection launched the bal
over the defence and over the goal keeper dropping just under the bar to
hit the top cover of the net.
Jubilation as the Jets entire team rallied
to have a team celebration. Quickly Perdiswell tried the counter attack
and the Jets for the next ten minutes fought hard to keep them at bay.
Eventually Perdiswell forwards combined
passing stole the goal and made the match a 1 - 1 draw. Cracking match
with two team of similar abilities providing a trilling match and fun to
watch.
Chloe Whittingham gain player of the match
with no hesitation today after repeatedly saving shot on target from
Perdiswell. This season ahs seen Chloe spring to life in her position
and a testament today gain the tile. Truly well done because without her
performance today the Jets could have been beaten by three or four.
The last word to the entire team was
nothing less that a resounding Well Done !
