Where to start on today's game.... After the Jets outstanding game last week with difficult humidity this week was going to be more of the same. The pitch having suffered most of the season from water logging now suffers from scorching and a rock hard surface. Certainly not ideal playing conditions or to find the right footwear.

Water bottles lined up and spare footwear on the touch line ready for some pit stop changes the Jets kicked off after winning the toss and opted to play up hill. Before the match could settle Hagley were off to a flying start and before long started to over run the Jets with most on the play in our half.

To say the girls were ball watching was about right today as the pace was lacking, chasing and man-marking was none existent and the positional play was all over the place.

At the half time whistle the Jets were firmly down 0-5 and the half time discussion was all about the passion to play. Refreshed from the break the Jets went out with  a new passion to play but before long started to fall back in to the old play of watching, standing waiting for the ball and being robbed repeatedly by Hagley.

The second half saw a number of better opportunities from the jets and some great passion in chasing the ball, vision and with a number of great chances unfortunately close but not in the back of the net.

With the season drawing out the fatigue was showing today with repeat substitution for players suffering from stamina issues. To be fare to the girls they were out played but may be not deserving of such a heavy defeat  but the final score line summed up the match.

With a mid week game coming this Tuesday the Jets form normally goes from bad game to stunning so we are looking for a treat this Tuesday for our next home match.

Jade and Liz's passion second half put them in the running for player of the match with Jade just piping Liz to the title for this week. Overall a disappointing match result but the girls did try hard and that's all that asked.

The last word to the entire team was Well Done !

(1)

Two on one

(2)

No defence, two attackers against the goal keeper and our last players trying to catch their attack. Goal? you'd of though but Jets goal keeper saves the day !

(3)

Goal keeper saves !

Back to the top......
