In an overall disappointing game both teams
struggled to create much football.
Chances on either goal were few and far
between although Southam did hit the post and bar and Redditch spawned
to clear opportunities in front of goal. The match itself was a stop
start affair with injuries occurring on both teams.
A draw was probably a fair result given
that both teams were also missing regular players but at the end the
result was probably more welcome to the visitors as Redditch were unable
to inflict the first league defeat of the season on the division leaders
and probable champions.
The positive for Redditch was that although
in some games their performance is not what has become to be expected at
least points are being picked up leading towards the seasons goal of a
top half of the division finish.
