At long last
a return to fixtured games. After a long break without games the Jets
started well and with new players saw a renewed vaguer to their form.
Fielding 9 players without subs this week it was always going to be hard
to run the entire match without a break and the Terriers made this match
a very well balance end to end game.
Terriers took the
lead early on with a very well placed goal after some great passing
moves. The Jets stood fast and kept their heads high and before long
were back in the game with a great goal from the midfielder.
Terriers continued
to fight hard with both teams enjoying end to end attacking and
defending play making the first half an enjoy match to watch. Before the
half time whistle the Terriers nipped that advantage by taking the lead
2 - 1 at half time.
Second half fielded
more of the same with some great attacking play and inspirational sight,
passing and vision from both teams. It was always going to happen and
before long with the Jets getting ever closer a shot from distance over
the goalkeeper and in to the top corner left the Jets on a high. 2 - 2
Terriers battled
hard gaining than 3rd edge making it 3 - 2 but in no way comfortably
going to be out right winners. The Jets carried the fight with a number
of goal mouth scrabbles and a midfielder pass from the edge of the box
to the Jets attacking forward but the miss kick was probably the Jets
last chance at finding a draw from a well balanced match.
Final score 3 -2 to
the Terriers but the Jets very much played exciting football with some
spectator players on the pitch at times which needs some work. Charlotte
Blundell got a very well deserved player of the match for her
determination, chasing and battling throughout the game.
Well done to
the Jets and the Terriers for an exciting end to end game.
