An even game for 30 minutes
with both sides cancelling each other out. Redditch had a
couple of half chances before Solihull saw a shot hit the
outside on the Reds post. Redditch in turn hit the bar will
a sharp shot.
Redditch made some tactical
positional changes and were rewarded with a well worked goal
involving Badger, Leroux and Lingham, who simple tap in
broke the dead lock. Soon after the Solihull keeper failed
to keep hold of the ball from a corner and after a few
attempts the ball fell to Smith who powered the ball in to
the net.
Redditch continued to play the
better football and were soon rewarded with two further
goals from Lingham and a justly deserved addition from the
tireless Badger. Smith could have gone on to secure her own
hat-trick but shot direct at the keeper and over the bar,
however she showed again that she's capable of playing
wherever requested.
The team performance was
impressive and at last individual self belief is growing
