After a long break due to the adverse weather conditions and festive
holidays, it was finally time to get some normality back to a Saturday
morning, with a trip to Welland Juniors the Jets seemed eager to get
going, once they stepped outside and felt the cold wind.
Game started well and the Jets managed to keep there concentration very
well, with Charlotte , jade and Shanon managing to soak up all the
pressure and with the girls seeming alert to all the attacks and crosses
that came in from a very strong Welland Side, Jets had a good share of
the play in the middle of the field with Rhen, Katie and Georgie working
hard and with Charlie managing to strike several times on goal but
couldn't quite connect.
First goal from Welland just seemed to happen, 1 minute we seemed to be
on top, next we where trailing, Half-time 1-0. Second half started
slowly with a couple of changes proving to be ineffective, and it wasn't
long before we where four nil down and tiredness had eventually caught
up with us and everyone just seemed to stop, except for Welland who have
been practising hard indoors through the break which proved effective as
in the last 4 minutes jets conceded two goals, Full time 6-0. Thanks to
all for there continued support and mostly to the girls for the effort
put in.
