Having not played for 5 weeks
this was always going to be a tough match for Redditch.
However the Reds started brightly hitting the post, having
the ball scrambled off the line and shooting three clear
chances wide of the goal. Crusaders though played into the
game and took charge with Redditch always looking second
best and found themselves 3-3 down at halftime.
The second period saw much of
the same made more difficult by a strengthening breeze and
more persistent rain. Redditch did get the ball in the net
only for it to be adjudged as offside when it was clear that
Jess Lingham ran from behind on to the pass from Nat Leroux.
It would only have been a consolation but it was to be thet
the Reds came away with nothing
