Another away game for the Reds today to a much improved Kidderminster
Lions side. The first half started quite even with both side having
plenty of the ball, today for some reason Redditch just couldn't relax
on the ball, and seemed to keep giving the ball away, lucky for us we
had Amy Taylor at the back to keep Kidderminster at bay.
Then in the twentieth minute Kidderminster broke away and with Redditch
not making those vital tackles they went 1-0 up. Redditch United were at
sixes and sevens needing the half time whistle so that they could
regroup. In the second half Redditch got back on form starting to relax
on the ball and get their passing together.
We finally got the break through with a corner from Jade Cole which she
passed to Sarah Dayus who layed it back to Jade then she drove it across
the box for Jorden Obrien to finish a great goal. Redditch kept going at
Kidderminster and all that effort payed off with Jade Cole scoring to
make the Reds go 2 up. Kidderminster kept coming at the Reds to try for
an equalizer, but with Becky Smith in great form they just couldn't find
the back of the net.
Then with ten minutes to go Jade Cole finally put the game to bed with
her second goal of the game to make the final score 3-1. Well done
girls, you didn't drop you're heads today when we went 1-0 down you just
kept going and ended up with a well deserved win
