First home game for a long time and withCherise getting injured the
night before Hollie steps up to start in goal and from the start our
girls seem to have a better attitude towards the game both teams very
evenly matched with end to end football and after a while of us
pressuring the Welland goal they break and with a bit of
miscommunication
between our defence and keeper the Welland striker sneaks in and its 1
nil to them both teams were deadlocked then up to half time.
Second half
starts and Cherise goes in goal and Hollie returns upfront so with us
more positive and pushing for the equaliser and eventually it paid off
with Hollie making a strong break through the Welland defence and
putting the ball in the net 1 all most the play then was in the Welland
half but we just couldn't add to the score then 3 mins from time and
Welland get a corner that we just cant clear and its 2- 1 to Welland
final score.
POTM Steph had a great game fighting for a goal and also
getting back and helping in midfield and defence a great all round
performance well done Steph and well done to the rest of the girls a
great team performance battling from start to finish and also to Welland
for a great sporting game well done all
