A near capacity crowd at The SAN GREENLANDS STADIUM saw The Mighty Reds take on second place Ferndale again, the second time in five days, for the win that should take them up to fourth in the table.

The Reds started the match with Georgia in goal, Amy and Carla in defence, Sarah and Beth midfield and Jade and Jordan up front with the rest of the squad urging them on. The Reds started off well again attacking from the start looking for the first goal.

Several good moves through midfield led to shots from both Jade and Jordan but without result. Sarah and Beth also had a few attempts with Amy and Carla holding firm at the back.

Half time came but with no goals. The second half started again with both teams going for the first goal, the home supporters going wild urging their team on.

There were a few strong tackles going in now with ref Colin having to have strong words. A few good attacks from Ferndale led to some good saves from Georgia .Amy’s goal kicks were heading for the goals several times just needing a vital touch but again without luck and the game finally ended 0-0, just missing out on our needed win.

Again all the girls tried their best and could not give any more. The end to a brilliant first season and let’s look forward to next season.
