Redditch United Girls Football Club was founded in December 1995

Training began with a small group of girls on the car park at the Valley Stadium. Week by week the numbers increased. In our first year we represented Redditch in the Worcestershire Games and the Birmingham Football festival and also other 5 a-side competitions during the summer.

In our first season we had two teams at U12 and U14, we now have now grown significantly since those early days with teams at mini soccer, ages around five year old through to open age.

RUGFC was one of the first teams in the country to offer single age band football across this age group.  The Club also has its Open Age team which commenced in 2005

RUGFC has since its inception created and grown a number of links which have included a partnership with Arrow Vale Community High School, a Specialist Sports College, holding it's Open Day, High school 5 a-side and Adidas Goalkeeping Course at their facilities. The latter saw girls from all over the West Midlands age 8 to 16 put through their paces.

In just four seasons RUGFC grew to become the largest girls club in Worcestershire and after fifteen years continues to lead from the front.  The latest adventure brings the Club back to its starting point revitalising links with Redditch United Football Club.

Finally RUGFC has enjoyed the patronage of several organisations that have generously supported the Club in the purchase of football kits and equipment over the years.

Needless to say new sponsors are always welcome and funding can cover not just the teams on the field but the ongoing costs that a Club of this size incurs from astro-turf hire for winter training through to covering the costs of coaching and training courses
