Our Awards

RUGFC continues to enjoy the recognition of both the Football Association and Sport England's Volunteer Investment Programme and our certificates are above.

Most recently RUGFC won both the Fair Play award for the Central Warks Girls League and were joint winners in the Birmingham County FA region. Also recognised for its achievements both within the County, having been voted the Worcestershire All Sport Partnership (WASP) Club of the Year 2003, after nomination by the local Sports Development Unit and also nationally having for the second time in three years receiving the Volunteer Investment Programme, Club of the Year Award. Following the attainment of being a Charter Standard Club in May 2002 and Charter Standard Development Club in January 2004, RUGFC is going from strength to strength.

RUGFC were the first football club in the town to have obtained Charter Standard and Charter Standard Development status and re-enforces the Club principles and belief that anything that is to be sustained must have firm foundations. Building on the strengths of the Clubs individual members and directing these towards the development of the Club infrastructure RUGFC is becoming a force to reckon with at all levels of the female game. RUGFC players have also formed the basis of many woman's clubs who are playing in Redditch and the surrounding area. The last count showed representation in 8 local open age teams With players who have come through the girls , including representation in the Royal Navy.

RUGFC is now reviewing the requirements to become a FA Charter Standard Community Club by extending links to a local boys team
