Previously listed on this page was all
the courses and the number of attendees but as this is an ever increasing number
it is more productive just to mention that during the Club's inception to date
there has been almost 500 courses attended, consisting mainly of coaches
courses, JTM, UEFA B's, Level's 1 & 2 and SAQ's. Administrative, First Aid and
the Awareness of Drugs in Sport.
To run a Club the size of Redditch
United Girls takes a great deal of effort and commitment on behalf of the
volunteers and this demonstrates where some of the Club funds, sponsorship and
Awards are spent.
Development Plan
RUGFC completed it's second 5 year
development plan and is currently half way through the current one. As well as
achieving FA Charter Standard, Sport England VIP Regional Award and WASP 'club
of the of the Year, over the last few years RUGFC has also expanded to include
an exit to the Club's Open Age women's team as well as exits to other local
teams.
RUGFC's Partners
We work closely with the Redditch
Sports Development Unit, Action Sport, The Worcestershire FA and Birmingham
County Football Development Scheme to hold many of these courses .
School liaison officers help bring the Club to local schools and invites those
interested along to training sessions. Many move on to join the Club and play
competitive football.
Girls only Mini-Soccer Summer School
The Summer school started in the
Summer of 2002 and has been seen as a great success. the format has changed over
the years and will continue to do so. Now that girls have access to football
through their school life the actual sessions are now more focused to
encouraging those girls who need more individual attention and self confidence.
Open/Fun days
RUGFC hold its Open Days for many
reasons, to give girls in the local community a day long taster and then the
opportunity to carry on by joining the Club's weekly training session. Which may
lead to the option to register to play for the Club in the league.
Small sided Games
During the summer all our teams enter
various small sided competitions, the biggest being the Worcestershire Female
Football Festival. During the Summer term the Club has also held small-sided
tournaments for the High & Middle Schools,
